Perfectly Flawed
8.19.17
When I was 11, I started my first fashion blog. I was ahead of the curve of the fashion blogging scene in 2011. To this day, I’m convinced that I could have gained some decent popularity and maybe even become a youtube star that makes thousands of dollars per video while mastering the art of social media if I’d stuck with it and kept posting quality content.
One of my favorite fashion bloggers from the time still exists and is very successful today, jet-setting across the globe and wearing designer fashions. My other favorite stopped updating her blog a few years ago and completely shut down her site. Her youtube channel hasn’t been updated in two years. So honestly, who knows how I would have ended up.

At the time, the main things that kept me from consistently blogging were my age and the fact that I wanted to focus more on school, which definitely isn’t a decision that I regret. Looking back though, a lot of the time what kept me from writing and creating new content (even the short stories and novels that I used to fill my time with) was my strive for perfection and my fear that no one cared about what I had to stay. Hence, I’ve started this blog, aptly titled perfectly flawed, to help me combat both of those by-products of perfectionism. So here’s to being flawed, to writing run-on sentences in all of my paragraphs, and to embracing all that comes with this new blogging journey.
Playlist: The First Time Soundtrack because that movie is a gift to the rom-com genre.
